Honda is gearing up to launch a new midsize SUV in India to regain its lost market share in the country’s competitive SUV market. According to sources, the new SUV may be named ZRV, although Honda has not confirmed this.

Competition with Creta and Other Top-Selling SUVs

Honda ZR-V, the midsize SUV that has already been introduced in the international market, is selling well. In India, the ZRV will be competing with other top-selling SUVs such as Hyundai Creta, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Skoda Kushaq, MG Aster, Mahindra Scorpio-N, Kia Seltos, and Tata Harrier.

More Engine Options to be Available

Apart from the 1.5-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine, Honda’s upcoming midsize SUV may offer more engine options. The SUV is expected to come with a 6-speed manual and CVT automatic transmission options.

Stylish Look and Advanced Features

The new Honda SUV will come with a range of advanced features including LED headlamps, LED taillights, a floating roofline and roof-integrated spoiler, A-pillar dashboard, a large touchscreen infotainment system with wireless smartphone connectivity, wireless charging, ventilated seats, premium sound system, and multiple airbags.
