According to Tork Motors, Kratos and Tork Kratos R electric motorcycles might see their prices go up by January 2023. A new set of prices will be introduced by the Startup EV maker beginning in January 2023 due to rising input costs. Even though input costs have increased in the past, the company quickly points out that it has absorbed these costs.
Tork Kratos and Kratos R Price Details
As a result of the new prices, the standard variant of the Tork Kratos electric motorcycle is now priced at Rs 1.32 lakh (ex-showroom, Maharashtra). In comparison, the more premium Tork Kratos R electric motorcycle is now priced at Rs 1.47 lakh (ex-showroom, Maharashtra). A note should also be made that the ex-showroom prices include FAME-2 and state subsidies.
Detailed information shows that Tork Motors has raised the price of its Kratos and Kratos R electric motorcycles in India by Rs 10,000. Besides that, it is also worth noting that the Kratos motorcycle was launched earlier this year in India with a price tag of Rs 1.08 lakh (ex-showroom, Maharashtra), and the Tork Kratos R motorcycle was launched with a price tag of Rs 1.23 lakh (ex-showroom, Maharashtra).
Powered by a Tork LI-ION battery pack with an advanced Axial-Flux topology, the Kratos electric motorcycle is powered by the company’s proprietary technology. It also has a torque of 28Nm, which is very impressive for an electric motor of 7.5kW. Aside from that, the electric motorcycle comes with a large, IP67-rated battery pack of 4kWh.
As opposed to the Tork Kratos, the Tork Kratos R electric motorcycle offers a more powerful 9kW electric motor and 38Nm of torque. While the battery pack remains the same, the model is powered by the same 4kWh battery. The Kratos R can go from 0 to 40 kilometers per hour in just 3.5 seconds and reach 120 kilometers per hour in just 20 seconds. This is a 20km/h faster speed than the standard motorcycle.
