There’s plenty of excitement around Suzuki India’s upcoming liter-class motorcycle, the Suzuki Katana. It has been teased on social media a few times and a lot of details have been revealed about it.

Katana’s design has already been revealed in Bikewale’s first story, so the latest teaser unveils Katana’s design. In addition, you can also see a photo of the bike’s fully digital instrument console. According to the image, it has a maximum rev limit of 11,000rpm and hosts a variety of other readouts as well.
On the Katana, Suzuki decided to put a 999cc inline four-cylinder liquid-cooled motor. Models sold overseas are powered by a 150 horsepower motor. It is likely that the bike will come to India as a CBU, so we don’t expect any drop in the price.

Furthermore, it’ll be equipped with adjustable front forks and a seven-step adjustable back shock. The braking system includes twin 310mm discs up front and a 240mm disc at the rear. There are 17-inch alloy wheels.

We expect Suzuki to price the Katana in the range of Rs 10-12 lakh (ex-showroom) in light of its arch-rivals, the Kawasaki Ninja 1000 SX and the BMW S1000 XR. This model will be available very soon in India.
