Mahindra Thar made its debut in India almost two years ago, and demand has remained high since then. Besides offering a more powerful engine and improved cabin, the new Thar is also one of the most capable SUVs on the market.
Modified Mahindra Thar Details

An owner modified Thar worth Rs 5.5 lakh and has modified it by himself. In addition to its brand-new R22 alloy wheels and special off-road tyres, the Mahindra Thar rides on a new suspension that enhances its performance and looks. The vehicle also gets a stylish font grille with LED fog lights and integrated indicator lamps.
In addition to looking better and providing a better stance, the new tyres have taken a major hit to fuel economy. Furthermore, the suspension could also be affected over time. The owner revealed that these new wheels and tyres were imported into the country and cost about Rs 3.5 lakh.
As well as the audio setup, the seats have been reupholstered, and premium foot mats have been added. Further modifications and accessories are also on the owner’s wish list for his SUV. Furthermore, he expressed satisfaction with the way the SUV performs in terms of both AC performance and also reports an average fuel economy of about 11-12 kmpl.

Two powertrain options are currently available for the Mahindra Thar. These include a diesel engine with 2.2L and a petrol engine with 2.0L. The diesel engine is capable of delivering 130 bhp and 300 Nm of maximum torque. The petrol engine offers 150 bhp and 320 Nm of maximum torque.

A 4X4 transfer case is included as a standard part of the package with both of these engines, and both of them come with automatic and manual transmission options. The new Thar 4X4 competes with rivals such as the newly introduced Force Gurkha 4X4X4.
