The updated Hero Xtreme 160R comes with the same price as the outgoing version, Rs 1.17 lakh. It features a gear position indicator, a reshaped seat, and an external grab rail for the pillion (as opposed to recesses under the pillion seat on the outgoing version). Hero Xtreme 160R does not have any mechanical changes.
The 163cc, single-cylinder engine powering the Xtreme 160R makes 15 horsepower at 8,500 rpm and 14Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm. Among the other features carried over from the previous model are the tubular diamond frame, the telescopic front fork, and the preload-adjustable rear monoshock.
All three variants of the Xtreme 160R come with single-channel ABS. The Single Disc is priced at Rs 1.17 lakh, the Double Disc at Rs 1.20 lakh and the Stealth at Rs 1.22 lakh. Its main competitors will be the TVS Apache RTR 160 4V, Yamaha FZ-FI, Bajaj Pulsar N160, and Suzuki Gixxer.
